  • Technical specialist and skilled business development operator for U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food for Progress and McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Programs.

  • Lead all aspects of humanitarian proposal design and writing, resulting in successful awards from U.S. Department of State, European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and other UN agencies throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, MENA, and Latin America.

  • Successfully supported responses to highly technical proposals for EU, French, Netherlands, Swedish, UK, and other donors in areas of agriculture, blue economy and climate resilience, economic growth, food security, youth employment and entrepreneurship.

  • Provide regular consortia management for international NGOs to co-create sound logical models and results frameworks, integrated proposal designs, and operationally cost-effective programs, while ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements.

  • Provide business and proposal development training and group workshops to create more efficient business development units, higher quality proposals, and inform business strategy, systems, and decision-making.

  • Recent capture and in-country assessments conducted in Angola, Benin, Burundi, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Georgia, Kenya, Lebanon, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Pakistan, Uganda, Senegal, South Sudan, and Zambia to secure funding and provide actionable market research to clients.

Organizational and Strategic Planning.

  • Regularly provide operational and programmatic technical support for work plans, budgets, and annual planning processes for projects ranging from $20 - $75 million.

  • Provide surge support overseeing in-country project launch and closeout processes.

  • Provide senior leadership team and country director coaching and mentorship, regularly supporting international and national NGOs with technical advisory to realign their organizational strategies, operations, and programming and strengthen systems and processes.

  • Organize workshops and provide one-on-one support to a range of clients to support strategic planning and organizational development.

  • Led participatory strategic planning processes in Malawi, Mozambique, Uganda, and Zambia for international NGOs resulting in multi-year country strategic plans and a suite of communication and marketing materials.

  • Led a co-creation process for 16 international NGOs in Uganda that resulted in a 5-year Joint-Strategic Framework.

  • Assessed the administrative and operational systems, procedures, processes, and staffing structures of country offices to improve human resources, procurement, and financial management efficiencies for a range of organizations in Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

  • Designed a real-time and dynamic country-wide Planning and Development dashboard for a globally recognized international NGO.

Practice Areas.

  • Provided humanitarian technical advisory and support services to United Nations Country Operations throughout the MENA region on community-based protection programming and strengthening systems to increase accountability to affected populations.

  • Regularly conduct field assessments in areas such as agriculture, food security, WASH, education, and environmental programming.

  • Supported core startup activities on an urban refugee livelihood and protection project in Sub-Saharan Africa.

  • Assessed nation-wide school feeding programs and operations in Benin, El Salvador, Mozambique, and Senegal.

  • Provided thought leadership and technical advisory services to a leading international humanitarian NGO to develop an organizational-wide Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) practice area.

Assessments, Research, and Evaluation.

  • Conducted a nationally representative mix-methods media assessment, utilizing quantitative and qualitative tools through the establishment of a data collection call center, key informant interviews, and field visits.

  • Served as the technical lead and supported the overall research design for a United Nations funded assessment on the impact of COVID-19 on household income, employment, and market dynamics.

  • Led a comprehensive mapping for a FCDO-funded learning intervention on accountability to inform overall standards for humanitarian program design, management, and implementation.

  • Designed a monitoring, evaluation, and learning plan for a multi-year civil society project in East Africa. 

  • Designed for a globally recognized international NGO a real-time and dynamic country-wide monitoring, evaluation and learning framework and dashboard.
